JOB SUMMARY:
Valleywise Health Foundation is the growing nonprofit supporting Valleywise Health, the Valley’s only public teaching hospital and community health system.
As our Sr. Marketing and Communications Manager, you will drive the digital and analytical side of our marketing efforts, overseeing a comprehensive approach to our brand’s presence across various digital and traditional platforms. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a compelling narrative that resonates with our donors, prospects, volunteers, and internal stakeholders. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative campaigns that showcase the impact of donor contributions and communicate our mission effectively.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
• Efficiently manage multiple marketing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
• Monitor project progress, address any issues and provide necessary support to ensure successful project execution.
DIGITAL MARKETING:
• Manage online paid advertising campaigns, optimizing targeting and budgets to maximize ROI.
• Monitor and analyze digital marketing performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Luminate, Critical Mention and other analytics tools for providing insights for continuous improvement.
• Maintain website and implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and organic traffic and to drive digital donations.
PRINTED SIGNAGE / DONOR RECOGNITION:
• Develop and maintain SOP for printed recognition signage within the entire Valleywise Health system, ensuring plaques are printed and installed before deadlines.
• Collaborate with Valleywise Health marketing and facilities teams, along with the Development team, to ensure all donor recognition is displayed correctly within the correct procedures.
• Work with our print vendors to ensure plaques are printed correctly and beautifully tell the stories of our donors, making them feel recognized and appreciated for their investment.
DIRECT MAIL:
• Develop and execute the annual direct mail strategy using effective segmentation for our different donor audiences, personalizing as appropriate, and acquiring new donors to our database.
• Collaborate with vendors and printing partners to create high-quality and compelling direct mail pieces that pull at donors’ heart strings, while also ensuring the pieces are cost-effective.
CAMPAIGN DEVELOPMENT AND EXECUTION:
• Develop personalized workflows and map donor segment journeys through marketing automation through the Blackbaud CRM.
• Work with the Marketing Manager to ensure the content inside workflows resonates with the desired audience segment.
BRAND MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATION:
• Maintain brand integrity and donor voice across all marketing materials, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity.
• Create written and visual communication materials that align with communication strategies and resonate with our target audience, personalized to the donor, or intended audience.
OPERATIONS:
• Develop the annual marketing budget in collaboration with the Senior Director of Strategic Implementation and the Chief Advancement Officer.
EVENTS:
• Attend and assist with all Foundation fundraising and donor engagement events.
• Attend external community and engagement events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field (master’s degree preferred)
• 5-7 years of progressively responsible marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven record of accomplishment of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
• Strong storytelling skills with the ability to create heartfelt and relatable content.
• Experience in managing and leading marketing professionals.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms and data analytics.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to align marketing initiatives with organizational objectives.
