INSPIRING PHILANTHROPY

ERIN & GREG VOGEL

Valleywise Health Foundation is grateful for a $1.75 million gift from District Medical Group (DMG), the physician group serving all of Valleywise Health, for critical patient and program needs at Valleywise Health.

“As President and CEO of District Medical Group for the past 19 years, I take immense pride in our partnership which has created a high-performing academic healthcare system delivering patient care, teaching the next generation of healthcare providers, and conducting clinical research.”

DR. KOTE CHUNDU, MD, MMM
President and CEO, District Medical Group

“As a patient, I always remember Valleywise Health fondly because the doctors and nurses are so fantastic. They are gracious, concerned and caring, not just to patients but to family members, too. From the custodians to the doctors, nurses and medical students, the team is unbeatable.”

ANNE C. STUPP

“The reason to get care in this facility 100 times over is because you know the level of the training that these physicians have, the type of patients that they have. If I’m in a car accident, for example, I can trust who’s taking care of me.

What I’m looking forward to with the new hospital being completed is almost like a rebirth. It’s like this like new energy that you can literally feel it. One of the reasons for contributing and giving to Valleywise Health Foundation is because this place is like my family. I tell people all the time I grew up at Valleywise. It’s nice to see something built and blossom right in front of you. And we’re all lucky to be a part of it.”

“Paige and I are honored to make this multi-year pledge to Valleywise Health,” said Rafi, founder of the Rafi Law Group. “This new facility and its caring and committed medical professionals mean children and families across the Valley will have access to quality healthcare, regardless of their financial means. Healing our children is an act of hope and we are proud to invest in the health and well-being of our community’s kids.”

BRANDON B. & PAIGE RAFI

“We have a daughter living in the San Francisco area, who has educated us on the challenges the LGBTQ+ community faces when it comes to health care due to stigma, bias and discrimination. When looking for an organization to support here in metro Phoenix, we were directed to the Valleywise Community Health Center – McDowell. We were touched by the compassion, dignity and professional care provided by the team at the McDowell Center to all its patients. We are so honored to support their mission.”
