GIVE FROM THE HEART

$25,000 Grant by Arizona Complete Health

Helps Combat COVID-19

Phoenix – July 20, 2020

Valleywise Health Foundation would like to express its sincere gratitude to Arizona Complete Health (ACH) for its generous grant providing COVID-19 relief funding for Valleywise Health, Arizona’s public teaching health system. Valleywise is proud to work closely with ACH in its mission of improving the health of communities one person at a time.

This gift helped fund essential supplies for in-house COVID-19 laboratory testing and a defibrillator to be placed near emergency care areas. Valleywise is now better prepared to support the health of Maricopa County residents and their staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Valleywise Health Foundation is incredibly grateful for this generous support,” said Valleywise Health Foundation CEO Nate Lowrie. “The opportunity to partner with ACH helps us to ensure our frontline healthcare providers always have the critical equipment and supplies available. This is even more important during this unprecedented time for our community.”

The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the needs of the most underserved and financially vulnerable residents of Maricopa County, many of whom are treated at Valleywise Health. These funds will go a long way toward meeting those needs.

Greg Taylor, Arizona Complete Health Regional Vice President of Community Affairs said, “I could not think of a greater need than the purchase of a defibrillator and funding laboratory testing for the Community Reinvestment Program. We hope this assistance will better support Valleywise Health in its efforts to provide quality healthcare for residents of Maricopa County.”
