Valleywise Health Foundation – Senior Leadership Giving Officer
Valleywise Health Foundation is the 501(c)3 partner to Valleywise Health, Arizona’s public teaching health system. We are seeking an experienced Senior Leadership Giving Officer with a passion to impact community health during an exciting and historic time in our nearly 150-year history.
Senior Leadership Giving Officer Description:
You’ll be responsible for managing and cultivating relationships with existing donor prospects, as well as identifying new prospects. Works closely with Senior Legacy and Leadership Giving Officer, Director of Development and Vice President of Development. Reports directly to the Vice President of Development.
Responsibilities:
- Development – 80 percent
- Manage a portfolio of 150+ donors and prospects
- Identify and cultivate new prospects
- Develop a major gift pipeline in partnership with Annual Giving Manager
- Conduct one-to-one cultivation, solicitation and stewardship meetings with donors and prospects to achieve their philanthropic goals through a relationship with the Foundation.
- Track and report donor relationship in CRM (Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge)
- Meet or exceed all fundraising goals and objectives
- Develop long-term relationships with donors and prospects and successfully solicit major gifts
- Identify and cultivate grant funding opportunities for capital, operational and program support
- Assist with Board solicitations
- Attend Board and Campaign Cabinet events as needed
- Events – 20 percent
- Attend fundraising and cultivation (including Board and Cabinet) events
- Utilize events as an engagement opportunity for new prospects and current donors in portfolio
- Provide event “day of” support as needed in coordination with Development and Events Coordinator
- Send personal follow-up and acknowledgment to attendees after every event
Qualifications and Skills:
- Positive attitude and a cheerful countenance while working with a diverse group of supporters, clients and staff
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to confidently and clearly communicate to multiple audiences
- Detail-oriented
- Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Commitment to database management procedures
- Related degree or relevant work experience
- Minimum – five years of fundraising/development experience at an Arizona nonprofit
This is a full-time position. Base pay, benefits and bonuses will be determined by skills and experience of candidate.
