John Hoopes
Vice President – Salt River Project
John Hoopes currently serves as the elected Vice President of the Salt River Project. John’s community service has included the Arizona-Mexico Commission board of directors, Valleywise Health Foundation board of directors, Morrison Institute for Public Policy advisory board, Valley of the Sun United Way board of directors, Phoenix Zoo board of trustees, Governor’s Regulatory Review Council, and board member and past president of the Mesa Southwest Museum Foundation.
A fifth generation Arizona native and graduate of BYU and the University of Arizona College of Law, John and his wife Nancy have four children: Jonathan, Charlotte, Christopher and Michael, and seven grandchildren.
