Deanna Salazar
Chief Administration Officer and General Counsel, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona
As chief administrative officer and general counsel, Deanna Salazar directs the BCBSAZ Foundation for Community & Health Advancement, Government Affairs, the Legal and Privacy teams, Compliance, and Internal Audit and Quality Control. She previously served as Senior Counsel for Wells Fargo Bank and was a partner with the law firm of Lewis and Roca.
Deanna is a member of the Arizona and Colorado state bars. She serves on the Arizona Community Foundation Board of Directors and the Arizona Coyotes Latino Advisory Council. She has served as a board member for many community organizations including Chicanos Por La Causa, the Hispanic Women’s Conference, Teach for America (regional board), Education Forward Arizona and the Sandra Day O’Connor Institute. She was recognized by the Phoenix Business Journal as one of the 2022 Outstanding Women in Business, Modern Healthcare as one of the country’s top 25 diversity leaders in healthcare, and AZ Business Magazine as general counsel of the year.
