Ana Pereira is a communications executive with experience leading strategic communications, marketing, media relations, and integrated campaigns across the healthcare, government, and private sectors. She currently serves as Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Valleywise Health, overseeing communications and marketing for one of Arizona’s largest public teaching health systems.

Before joining Valleywise Health, Ana served as Communications Director for the City of Mesa, where she led an award-winning communications team and directed innovative integrated campaigns. Under her leadership, the team earned the Public Relations Society of America Copper Anvil Award for Best Communications Team of the Year.

Prior to Mesa, Ana was Chief Client Officer at Urias Communications, a Phoenix-based multicultural advertising, public relations, and creative agency. There, she led campaigns connecting with diverse audiences across Arizona, Mexico, and the United States. Her experience also includes serving as Outreach Director for Senator John McCain during his 2016 Senate campaign and leading multicultural earned media and digital communications efforts.

Ana holds a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College. Before transitioning into strategic communications leadership, she spent nearly 15 years in television newsrooms across major U.S. markets as a producer, reporter, and anchor. Born and raised in Venezuela, Ana is fluent in Spanish. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering at her child’s school and cheering on her son from the sidelines of baseball and soccer fields across the Valley.
